The Design

The design of this site is good and professional. It’s quite simple, with the effective header image and navigating through the site’s various sections is also easy and smooth.

The Blog Design

I’m quite pleased with the site design of this blog. It’s quite simple, but the header image is not effective and the post titles are not SEO friendly. Navigating through the site’s various sections is also very obvious through the links near the top.

I do have several suggestions, however, that they may want to consider:

* The RSS button would look better either at the top of the sidebar or all the way to the right in the header.
* There’s not enough content to currently justify having two sidebars.
* There are too many posts on the main page.
* Too many animated graphics.

So participation and interaction with other members is obviously encouraged.

Many of the people that read any Blog at Thoughts.com have websites or blogs of their own, but not all of them do. Perhaps Thoughts.com is a site to explore since members can upload their own photos and videos for others to see. The best feature of the site is of course that you can upload so many different types of multimedia all in one site. Other blog related communities or for that matter even personal blogs often need to host their photos, videos and podcasts on a variety of sites and then embed code into their blogs or posts in order to show others what they’ve created.

Another great feature of Thoughts.com is the fact that they reward their top members with a free trip each year. It’s sounds like a pretty sweet deal and I don’t think of any other blog community that does anything like that. The best part is that all you have to do to win is be one of the most active on the site which is easy enough to do if you are uploading photos and videos, having them rating by members and rating other members items as well.

The site was launched in June, 2006 as a prototype, but was in February, 2007 with the release of a new version of the site that it entered the mainstream. It jumped from a few thousand visits per day to around 150,000 visits daily as of today. In the last months it ranked as Top 500 in the Technorati ranking, Top 10,000 in the Alexa.com ranking and is in the Top 250 in traffic in Brazil and Top 500 in Portugal.

It has the same features and functions as MyBlogBlog but with a limited group of members. The BlogBlogs also provides several tools for bloggers to enhance their sites such as visitors Widget present on sidebar at the right of this page. It shows the last BlogBlogs users who visited this site and its very popular in among the Brazilian bloggers.
